FAQ – Most Frequently Asked Questions About Tape Art Workshop
Which workshop variants does the “Selfmadecrew” offer?
We offer the following workshops: tape art, graffiti, stencil (also as fashion on textile), and team-building with art.
Where can a tape art workshop take place?
Depending on the requirements, we offer different workshop variants and options. The locations are either rented by us, especially for the workshops or provided by customers or co-organizers. If it is a device such as School, we do the workshops right there on-site.
How long does a Workshop take? How exactly is it running?
Quite different: partly because we are flexible and adapt our workshops to the requirements, such as age, skills, and skills of the participants. For some workshops, such as Team-building workshops will eventually result in a large (e.g., 6 x 3 meters), joint group artwork that the client retains. While others create their own, smaller works of art and then take them with them. Often the art is glued directly to a wall.
Do preparations have to be made? For example, concerning the surface?
Depending on the surface underground. Usually, no preparations for the underground are necessary. If yes, then nothing great or complicated. The surface should be as smooth or sealed as possible. It must not be painted with chalk or powdered paint.
Why is the art made of adhesive tape good for workshops?
Because you do not need special requirements for such workshops. Since the technology is still not so spread, the tape art workshops are quite exciting for the participants. And strangely, the medium of adhesive tape encourages creativity among the participants.
What can participants take away from the workshops?
So far we have always received positive feedback. Our workshop participants of all ages always enjoy making art.
What makes tape art special or unique for you?
The medium tape itself is, in our opinion, fascinating! The many ways to create art are not nearly as exhausted as is the case with conventional media. We like to think that when we experiment with tape we can develop many more tape art techniques and expand the ability to create art with tape. Experimenting and inventing give us a lot of fun and motivate us a lot. The clean lines that the tape brings are the limits we always strive to go beyond.
