Project overview:
Working closely with BIKINI Hotels, we developed a bespoke design concept that reflected the local culture and environment of Mallorca. Within just four weeks, we implemented this concept on site, creating a new landmark in a small town in Mallorca.
Façade design as an art form
Facade design as an art form offers the opportunity to shape spaces not only functionally but also aesthetically. Our artist collective transformed a hotel complex in Mallorca with over ten facades and several wall artworks in foyers into a unique experience.ach of the ten facades of the three hotel buildings was individually designed to emphasize both the hotel’s architecture and Mallorca’s natural beauty.

Wall art in a foyer
In the hotel’s foyer, we created several wall artworks to welcome guests upon entering the building. These works combine modern art with traditional Mallorcan elements to create a welcoming atmosphere.
Design that shapes the Atmosphere
Thoughtful colour schemes and creative elements create an environment that inspires guests and promotes well-being. The use of specific colours and materials allows the mood to be deliberately controlled, which has a positive impact on the overall result.
Thoughtful design not only enhances the guest experience, but also reinforces the hotel’s brand identity. The harmonious integration of art into the architecture transforms the hotel complex into an inspiring experiential space that is memorable and ensures guests want to return. The result: A hotel complex that not only impresses visually, but also leaves a lasting impression.

Sustainability as a key factor in design
In our projects, we pay particular attention to the use of environmentally friendly materials and innovative techniques. For the redesign of the hotel complex in Mallorca, we used materials from local manufacturers that are both aesthetically pleasing and resource efficient. Given the intense sunlight on the island, we treated all the artwork with a special transparent UV protective varnish, which significantly extends the vibrancy and longevity of the colours and protects them from aggressive sunlight.
Interestingly, as we later learned, this is not a common practice on the island: Local artists often deliberately expose their works to sunlight in order to receive regular restoration commissions from their clients. This approach may be profitable in the short term, but we firmly believe that the long-term sustainability of our artworks is more beneficial to all parties involved, not to mention significantly minimising the ecological footprint. In this way, our art remains not only a visual experience, but also a sustainable part of the environment that will continue to bring joy for a long time to come.

Collaboration and implementation
Close coordination with the client was crucial for the success of this project. Through regular meetings and feedback loops, we ensured that the design concept met the client’s expectations while expressing our vision for the project.
Conclusion: The hotel complex as a new tourist magnet in the region
Thanks to efficient working methods and effective collaboration with the client, we were able to complete the project in just four weeks. The hotel complex is now not only a place of relaxation, but also a cultural attraction for visitors and locals. Our creative façade design has the potential to not only transform the aesthetics of a hotel complex, but also its overall atmosphere.
